Kingston upon Thames has been named the London area with the lowest number of road traffic collisions relative to distance travelled.
The findings come from a new road collision report by Online Marketing Surgery and Third Generation Services, which analysed government figures to rank London areas by the number of road collisions per billion motor vehicle miles.
Kingston recorded 485 collisions per billion motor vehicle miles, the lowest in the capital according to the study.

Hillingdon followed with 531 collisions per billion miles, and Bromley ranked third with 626 collisions per billion miles.
The report identified the 10 London areas with the fewest collisions using GOV.UK’s latest road traffic data from 2024.
Other boroughs with lower collision rates included Bexley (651), Richmond upon Thames (668), and Havering (680).
Hounslow (760), Greenwich (775), Sutton (784), and Barnet (849) rounded out the top 10.
