London's first Chick-fil-A officially opens in Kingston

London’s first Chick-fil-A has officially opened its doors in Kingston, drawing early morning queues to Eden Street.

This marks the chain’s second locally owned and operated UK location.

Guests began queuing early in the morning outside the new restaurant, hoping to be some of the first to sample the American chain’s menu, including its signature chicken sandwiches and hand-squeezed lemonade.

Chick-fil-A Kingston is owned and operated by Connor Ashford, who will be leading the restaurant operations.

In addition to heading up all operations, Mr Ashford is participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table programme.

The food donation programme in Kingston to help fight food insecurity and support local people in need.

The new restaurant is located at 90 Eden Street, Kingston-upon-Thames, KT1 1DJ.

For those wanting to get a taste of Chick-fil-A's menu, the restaurant will be open Monday through Saturday, from 10am until 10pm.

The restaurant will remain closed all day Sunday.

This closure on Sundays is a tradition rooted in Chick-fil-A's founding, intended to grant staff a day off for personal pursuits, including spending time with friends and family or worship, should they wish.

Chick-fil-A is a large American fast food company, founded in 1967 by S. Truett Cathy.

The company has more than 3,000 locations across the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, the United Kingdom and Singapore and employs over 200,000 people.
