An ex-MP has claimed he was assaulted at a London train station, and that TfL "did nothing".
Alexander Stafford, former Member of Parliament for Rother Valley, said he was "punched in the head and the face to the ground" in a post on X yesterday (May 21).
The incident reportedly took place at an unspecified train station, and the former MP criticised staff for failing to act during the attack.
He said: "TfL staff did literally nothing, even when the assailant had left.
"Thank you to the fellow passengers who came to my aid."

Transport for London has apologised and said it is urgently investigating the incident and the staff response.
A TfL spokesperson said: "We’re very sorry that Mr Stafford experienced this.
"Violence has absolutely no place on our network, and all instances of violent and aggressive behaviour are taken extremely seriously.
"No one should ever have to fear or experience abuse or harassment when using our network, and we are we are urgently looking into the staff response to this incident.
"We remain committed to protecting our colleagues and customers, taking the strongest possible action against anyone who commits violence or abuse, and we will continue to do everything possible to ensure everyone can travel and go to work without fear or intimidation."
