A man is in hospital after an assault on a road in Kingston.

The Metropolitan Police was called at around 3.30am today (June 13) to reports of an assault on Wheatfield Way.

Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and found one man with injuries.

He was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

Wheatfield Way was cordoned off for several hours today but has since been closed.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 1130/13JUN26.

Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at approximately 03:30hrs on Saturday, 13 June to reports of an assault on Wheatfield Way, Kingston.   

“One of the men was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, where he remains in a stable condition.

“A crime scene was established and has since been closed.  

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 1130/13JUN26.

“Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
