A 17-year-old and 34-year-old man have been arrested following a stabbing.
The Old Church Road ( A112) in Chingford was closed both ways between Albert Crescent and Churchill Terrace yesterday evening for several hours.
Ambulance and air ambulance attended along with police.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police has now confirmed that a 17-year-old was arrested while a 34-year-old man was taken to hospital and subsequently arrested.
The spokesman said: "Police were called to reports of an altercation at 17:00hrs on Old Church Road, Chingford, on Wednesday, 8 July, during which a man was assaulted.
"Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service. A 34-year-old man was taken to hospital for stab injuries, where he was later arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon. His injuries were deemed non-life threatening.
"A 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon. He was taken to police custody, where he remains."
