A London restaurant has been ranked among the best in the UK as part of the top 100 in the Good Food Guide’s new list.
The guide announced its list of Britain’s 100 Best Local Restaurants 2026, in partnership with Square, at an awards ceremony at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London earlier this week (July 13).
The Best Local Restaurant awards, which have been running for 16 years, “celebrate the community-driven restaurants that offer brilliant value for money and top-quality cooking in a relaxed, convivial setting.”
Among the named locations was London spot Gina's in Chingford, earning the fourth spot on the national list.
The 'fabulous' London restaurant ranked among the UK's best
The Good Food Guide awarded the Chingford business fourth spot on the list of 100, and it was also named the regional winner as London's best local restaurant.
Gina's opened in 2025 and was created by husband and wife duo Ravneet and Mattie, who spent the last 15 years working in London's best kitchens.
Together, they have set out to build a restaurant that is welcoming, "unfussy" and leaves guests "full of food that makes you feel good", according to Gina's website.
In 2026, Gina's was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand and earned praise for its "well-priced" menu and team that brings a "personality and infectious enthusiasm to their work".
Gina's shares that its menu is created on "seasonality and quality sourcing", using the best local ingredients possible.
As such, its menu changes weekly along with its daily-changing blackboard specials.
Example menu items at Gina's include aged Highland bavette and chimichurri, Shetland cod with piattone beans and almond beurre blanc, yellow chicken with Scottish girolles, green beans and persillade.

One recent guest said: "Nothing but praise to give for this restaurant!
"The design, the food, the atmosphere! It’s really lovely and honestly on par with the top London restaurants in central."
Another happy visitor wrote: "I went to Gina's for the first time and had a great solo lunch. Really good fries and their cheeseburger was one of the best I've had.

"But even better was Ravi's chocolate cake with milk ice cream.
"The cake is steamed so it's light and fluffy but with a deep, rich chocolate flavour, and I could eat the milk ice cream served with it by the tub."
