A man has been taken to hospital after a stabbing near a parade of bars in Soho.
Police were called to Greek Street at 4.28pm on Thursday (July 23) following reports of a stabbing.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was treated at the scene for a stab wound to the leg before being taken to hospital.
His condition is not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, the Metropolitan Police said.
According to the force, it is believed that this was an “isolated incident” with no threat to the public.
No arrests have been made but enquiries are ongoing.
Inspector Hannah Woodfield, who polices central west London, said: "We understand news of this evening’s incident will be concerning for those visiting central London and of course the local community.
"This is believed to be an isolated incident, with no further threat to the public.
"Met officers will remain in the Soho area for the rest of this evening, carrying out additional patrols.
"If you have any questions or concerns, do feel free to approach us."
Greek Street is cordoned near the turn of Manette Street and next to Soho Square Gardens.
Crowds gathered behind the tape due to its vicinity of bars as well as people queuing for a special pop-up event nearby for American singer and rapper Latto, held at 59 Greek Street drawing people for exclusive merch, CDs and vinyls.
There is no evidence to suggest the event is linked to the incident.
Bloodied clothing could be seen on the ground within the cordoned area near Manette Street.
A witness standing outside Simmons bar said: "Everyone started panicking and I heard someone got stabbed."
