A man who has been stabbed to death in a mass knife incident in Clapham has been named.
Abdulkadir Mahamed, 22, has been named in court documents as the murder victim after an attack on Tremadoc Road, near the turn of Clapham High Street, on Saturday (July 25).
Police were called at 4.37am after reports of a man in hospital with a stab wound.
The 22-year-old died in hospital.
While he has not been identified by the Metropolitan Police, he has been named in court following a first hearing at Bromley Magistrates’ Court today (July 27) at 10am.
Four other men also attended hospital with stab wounds, but their injuries were not life-threatening or life-changing.
The four men - originally reported by the Metropolitan Police as three aged 22 and one 24 - were arrested on suspicion of murder, along with a further two men, initially said to be aged 23 and 27.
Javed Khan, 22, of Maskell Road in Wandsworth, has been charged with murder and violent disorder.
Adonay Berhan, 27, of Mason’s Avenue in Croydon, has been charged with assisting an offender.
The Metropolitan Police says a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
He has been discharged from hospital following his stab injuries.
Three of the other men, two aged 22 and one aged 24, who were arrested on suspicion of murder have been released with no further action, following further enquiries.
