A man was taken to hospital after a stabbing in Islington overnight.
Paramedics and police rushed to the scene at South Place, EC2M, around 11.20pm last night (August 13), near Finsbury Circus Gardens.
Detective Inspector Ben Hurley of City of London Police said: "City of London Police officers were called at around 11:20pm on 13 August 2026 to reports of a stabbing in South Place.
"One man was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 11:24pm yesterday (13 August) to reports of a stabbing at South Place, Islington, EC2M.

“We sent an ambulance crew, paramedics in fast response cars and an incident response officer.
"We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance.
“The first paramedic arrived in less than five minutes.
“We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority”.
Police are appealing for information with no arrests made.
