A person has died following a stabbing in west London this morning.
Emergency services were called to Askew Road in Shepherd's Bush at 8.22am today (August 18), following reports of a stabbing.
Despite paramedics arriving less than five minutes after the first call, one person was pronounced dead.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 8.22am today (18 August) to reports of a stabbing on Askew Road, W12.
"We sent resources to the scene including ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response cars and an incident response officer.
"We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
"Our first crews arrived in less than five minutes.
"We treated three people in total.
"We took two patients to hospital but sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, a patient was pronounced dead at the scene."
A large police cordon was set up around the area, with portions of Askew Road closed off at Hadyn Park Road, Lawrence Mews, and Davisville Road.
An air ambulance was seen arriving nearby at Wendell Park and a forensic tent was also erected.

A resident described seeing up to a dozen police vehicles and a heavy emergency services presence on the street.
Photos from the scene showed officers standing guard behind the cordon and forensic teams working at the site.
The Metropolitan Police has not yet issued a statement about the incident.
Askew Road remains closed.
