Four new Aldi supermarkets are set to open across London before Christmas, with Orpington, Stepney Green, Hanworth and Willesden all included in the discount chain's latest expansion.
The openings are part of a wider rollout of nearly 30 new or relocated stores across the UK over the next 10 weeks, as Aldi pushes forward with its national growth plans.
Giles Hurley, Chief Executive Officer for Aldi UK and Ireland, said: "We’re working hard to make good food more affordable for every family – cutting prices on everyday essentials, signing long-term supplier agreements to help increase home-grown production, and continuing to bring affordable groceries to even more communities through our store opening programme.
"This is why more customers are buying more products at Aldi – our relentless focus on simple, everyday low prices and award-winning quality."
The expansion follows Aldi’s recent annual trading update, in which the retailer reported a five per cent rise in turnover to a record £19bn for the year ending December 31, 2025.

Aldi currently has 1,092 stores in the UK.
Aldi has been named the UK’s cheapest supermarket for the past five years, and remains the only major grocer whose prices are falling year-on-year.
This year, the chain has invested £340m in price reductions across more than 1,000 products, including orange juice, butter, fresh meat and frozen fish.
Industry data shows Aldi now holds a 10.6 per cent share of the UK grocery market, with growth driven by increased customer numbers and basket sizes.
Aldi has also pledged to continue cutting prices in the lead-up to Christmas, aiming to deliver even greater value for shoppers during the festive season.
Additional new stores will open in Epsom, Ashford and Chatham before the end of the year.
